Sitting on that pier puts a couple directly above the sea — the water visible below and around them, the Montego Bay coastline behind, the horizon open in front. This image was made with the couple seated at the end of the pier in the late afternoon, when the Caribbean light falls at a low angle and the water below takes on the deep turquoise quality that renders best on camera.
